Turbo Timer Installed this weekend...

after a couple small problems with misunderstanding and some help from James I got the Turbo Timer installed. Here are a couple pictures. I still need to mount it a little better in the cupholder area but at least it is there and works right. I love not having to wait for the car but I still feel odd walking away from it...

it's almost as if Greddy made it for that location...looks good

Looks great ! BTW, did your instruction manual come in Japanese only? . . .

Mine has zero English in it. Fortunately, I found Greddy's website and they appear to have installation instructions in English for printing, but I'm a little nervous about digging into my dash at this point.

Yup...all japanese...

as for the install I followed James R's FAQ in the tech section. I took quite a few pictures of the install and might supplement his write-up with pictures to go along with the install. I would have loved pictures during my install. We will see what I have the time for in the next week or two.

Hmm one of the better looking RoboCup style installs I've seen in a while

most of the people just cram the damn thing in there and wedge it with something which looks soooo ghetto IMHO. What you should do...since it looks like you got it nicely centered and since the gap looks almost the same as the other buttons is to simply make a tight fitting collar out of black felt. Then slip the collar up the back of the TT so that you can't see past the edge of the lip...this might look more, "finished". I dunno I've never pulled the RoboCup myself, but from the other installs I've seen I'd not be satisfied w/o doing some more treatment to try and make the area look more complete.

Exactly what I was thinking...

I did not want to just stuff some foam in there or something like that so I just left it how it is for now and am going to look into making something for the gap which will make it look "smooth". Once I figure it out I will post my updates. I am in Java training all this week though so I don't have time to goof off at work like I usually do. Then I need to get them brakes installed this weekend...so much to do, so little time.
