upgrading performance
so i just recently bought an audi a4 1.8t quattro ...
my first audi ...
i was wondering if anyone knew of things i could do to boost horsepower and general overall performance of the car without spending a CRAPLOAD of money ...
any ideas anyone ???

What year? What transmission? What defines "CRAPLOAD" of money?
You really think a car that is at least 12 years old, nothing in the archives, our FAQ, or tech section would cover this? Regardless of being new to the brand, you aren't new to the internet or searching.

The most simple, reliable, and best for the money upgrade is chipping it. Look at companies like GIAC, Unitronic, APR, revo, MTM. If you don't have many long term plans for things like a turbo upgrade just get the APR flashed at a local dealer and be done for around $500-600. Everything else is just the usual things for cars: exhaust, suspension, wheels...
