Vag code 0011

other than that being an incredibly bad code to get . . . what does it mean?

(cam shaft alignment or something like that?)

The car runs fine.

drove it to Knoxville (Because I had to not because I thought it would be fun)

loaded car got 25mpg.

pulled normally, no extra noise or shake.

anyways, now it looks like I have learning experiences on my hands.

That coming from the ECU? If so, its supposed ot have 5 digits...

There is no 00011 VAG code, but there is a P0011 SAE code which directly relates to the original post.

Your "A" camshaft position timing is over-advanced.

I've emailed you a PDF writeup on how to address this problem.

Looks like I will be getting my hands dirty this weekend

does this tell me how off my camshaft is?

I dont speak bently =(

I figure I will mark the gears again (etch into this this time so I wont think the damn things have moved.)

and I can at least get back to where I am (somewhere that the car runs ok)
