Weird problem with spedometer...

When I start my car in the morning the spedo needle bounces back and forth at it's rest position, if I start to drive it moves in clicks up the dial and when slowing down the needle keeps going up! If I stop and shut off the car then start it again the problem is fixed until the next morning. Anyone know what could be causing this?

Maybe but it seems like it may be more of an electrical problem. Any idea on how hard it is to change the speed sensor?

Not really...

You need to jack up the car and find the thing- I think it's doable without dropping the tranny.
