Default Weird, split-second CEL/stumble on the freeway

We are on a trip and while on the freeway (around 60mph) I had a split second engine stumble and CEL came on for just a split second as well-just barely enough to flick on and off.

Does anyone know what this could be? Never happened before.
I'm just worried it could be a forewarning of something serious- maybe it's just a 'ghost in the machine'?

I have internet access so I'll check for answers- thanks guys!

You need to pull codes.

Default I had that happen a few months ago too. Problem never came back.

I checked the error codes, but I don't even remember what the code was.

Default TJ: Your input is required (anyone?). About to replace rear calipers is there a trick to removing

the e brake cable?

I don't want any surprises as I am taking the family skiing and want to swap out the rear caliper that's shot cuasing the pads to drag.

Thanks....

Default I've had that happen twice, but had no codes thrown. It was like the key got turned off...

for a split second. I never looked into it further because it was years between those two incidents and I could never reproduce it.

Default I use a flat blade screwdriver or small pry bar to work the ebrake lever.

You want to move the lever so it clamps down on the pads, and that should give you enough room to unhook the cable (Ebrake handle in off position obviously). Install the new cable after you've put the new caliper on the car already and have it sitting on the carrier.

Default Carson: can I utilize the old cable?

I did'nt buy cables from you as I was hoping I could do this rather easily without dealing with swapping cables, just the calipers

Default I don't see why not, as long as they still move freely.

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it", or so the saying goes.
