BASF makes a good portion of the European OEM and did the fundamental engineering on two common American coolants made here under license: DexCool and G-05.

Engine coolant Super Concentrates:

if you do a complete flush, I'd imagine you could get away with it. But if, like he almost certainly will be, you are just topping off the reservoir, doing so with another type of coolant is not recommended.

 

No, topping off G12 with Dexcool *IS* the approved fluid as per the Rad Manu Assoc.

 

whatever. I'm not getting in an argument over coolant. keep using that, I'll stick to G12.

 

^^he's correct. G12 is just the euro version of Dexcool, with pink dye.
