What motors can you swap into a 1996 A4 2.8 Quattro with a manual transmission???

What motors can you swap into a 1996 A4 2.8 Quattro with a manual transmission???

Like the title says...

Basically, will an A8 V-8 bolt up to the tranny? I want more power! The rest of the car already has some decent mods, so I don't feel like just getting rid of it for a 1.8T or anything. So, can I throw a V-8 into it?

you won't be able to cause you obviously have no knowledge of engine swaps

Yeah, because it's not like I don't have an RX-7 with an LS1/T56 swap or anything...

yeah i saw a white one on here one time....

major re-working of hood and radiator support but it was shoe-horned in there. i think it had a TT grill too.

I figured it would be tight... I've already

done everything to the 12v that I can except for nitrous and it's just too damn slow. I know you can supercharge the newer V-6s, but AFAIK, no one makes one for the 12v.

what LS1? 345 hp camaro? or vette engine, any work done to it or stock? you fab everything yourself? i may pickup an 81 volvo for cheap and drive it as a "beater" its in great shape, and ive been toying w/ the idea of doin a built 5.0 and T5 at some point.
I was a V8 guy for a while and still love em, ahd a 79 monte carlo, stripped down to 2900 or so lbs 400 hp, high stall torque converter, TH350 w/ ratchet shifter, 4.11:1 gearing, it was a beast.
