Default Where is the brain for the alarm?

Some have told me that it's under the rear seat. there is a box back there with a wiring harness going into it, but I unhooked the wiring harness and the alarm still worked. I am trying to find an output from the alarm that will stay positive for the duration of the siren signal, so that I can tap in for additional sirens. You know, really light up the neighborhood.

Default what year? It's part of the central locking system on mine and is located behind

the pass side panel in the trunk (behind the wheel well) There are 3 harnesses and two tubes. Unplugging these harnesses will disable your: interior lights, starter, locks, alarm, ignition, windows, sunroof.

Default I re-read your post... why not tap the alarms horn itself. (located on the other sides

panel bolted above the interior of the rear fender
Where are you going to mount the additional horns? I was going to do the same thing with airhorns up front but couldn't find a good location.

Default That the tricky part....

I have two new alarm sirens, one is a mini piezo siren for the interior of the cabin. This siren is supposed to seriously hurt somebody if they get inside the car, but really can't be heard outside the car. The second is a mechanical siren that whinds up to produce a very loud sound. I did tap the new sirens directly into the old alarm horn, but the factory alarm horn recieves a pulsated signal, not a constant. I need a constant power signal to tap to make the mechanical work, otherwise it never spools up to it's fullest potential. make sense?

So you think the alarm brain will be in the trunk on the passenger side? I'll check that out.
Thanks

Default hmm, that is tricky. There are a bunch of wires coming out of that box and I'm

not sure if any of them provide a constant signal when the alarm is triggered.
I hear a clicking sound in mine when the alarm is going but I can't remember what the innards look like.
I have a bad central locking pump that I opened but I can't find it now. Those things are expensive BTW so be careful. Good luck.

Default yeah, the tubes run the vacuum locking system. They really have nothing to do with the security

system though. Just part of the same unit.
