I love it...trust me it does really help you to slow down...
once you lose grip it's all over, ABS helps you to keep grip...
I lost a car once that did not have ABS...I know for a fact is it had ABS I would have been safe...

I guess it's annoying for me...
first of all, i can't stand that awful feedback through the pedal, but mostly because i can feel when the wheels lock up when using the e-brake. In general, i always keep them pressured enough just before that point but sometimes the abs kicks in and i back off anyways.
Sigh; maybe i should just get studded tires.

"You back off", oh no sir...have you gone to a Quattro Club driving school ?
That is the best way to see what abs does for you....you stand on the brake regardless of the feel and let it do the work...the car will slow amazingly well even on stock brakes...
At our driving school, we go on the straight of PIR and step on the brakes when we get to cones...man the cars slow down so well it is amazing...then when you see the non-abs cars it is scary...it gives a lot of confidence on the road...
The main problem with abs is that people think that something is wrong and then they back off...
