Window regulator problems.

Does Audi have a TSB or recall on this? Anyone know of a good DYI write-up?

A buddies front window regulator bit the dust and is now down inside his door.

Depends on what broke up....

But they aren't that bad to change.

No DIY that I've seen...however

someone on the S4 forum mentioned this recently (in the last month or so). A green clip broke, and apparently Audi sells the part separately, so you won't have to buy a whole new regulator.

its my window...

and the front clip (green plastic) is in 5 peices. I am not sure if the motor seized up and bound, i just know the window is no longer tracking...

any ideas?

just called parts department....

for 9 dollars i can replace the clip and see if the regulator is ok. woohoo.

i think that will be plan #1

if you can buy just the clip then i got had for $250 2 years ago....
