Windshield Replacement
I'm paying $328 with taxes and everything at Windsor Auto Glass on South Avenue in Westfield.
At Caruso's in Plainfield it was just too expensive.
Two questions: I know someone is charging less but how much less?
Also is there a way to know if it is a genuine AUDI part? and if so, do I really want an OEM after all the distortion I read about?

Is it a premium OE windshield?
Mine cost $317, made by PPG. It looks identical to the Audi windshield. The only difference is that the Audi glass has an audi logo instead.
I was able to get a regular one at the same place for $240, but opted for the OE one instead...

I called the insurance and they said that I have a $500 deductible on everything, including the windshield; so I guess no luck there.
As far as what type I got quoted I know it is not OEM (however I don't see the Audi logo on my stock windshield either) and Robert at Windsor Auto Glass guaranteed that it is a good brand and quality windshield. I didn't quite say the brand but he mumbled something like Pennington...I can't find anything about it on the net.

My friend's shop uses a particular glass place all the time
They knew that I work for the shop and told me that this OE version is better than the Audi Glass. They told me it is made by PPG - which several ppl say is the one to get, so I went with it. I have only had it for 3 months or so...
