Wiper problem
Hi folks,
I saw a reference to this problem in an archive search but couldn't find the solution. The problem I'm having (2000 S4) is that sometimes the wipers won't work in momentary, normal or intermittant mode. They have to be switched to high to make them work, then if I switch out of high they will either work in all positions or the wipers will stop dead halfway down the windshield and refuse to work at all (for awhile). The dealer replaced the wiper relay, which maybe helped for awhile, but the problem is back. Any ideas????

I agree...wiper motor.
The exact same thing happened to my first A4 when it only had 5,000 miles on it. The dealer replaced the wiper stalk first and the problem continued. Eventually, they replaced the wiper motor and it never came back...but the car was totalled 20,000 miles later :-(
