Wiring differences

I have a early 99 2.8q. My aux cooling fan won't run, the wiring diagram in bentley is totally different than whats in my car.
Anybody else have this problem?
thought I would ask you guys before I called audi to see what the hell is going on.

The closest wiring I can find is the

00/01 A4 2.7 injection 6 cyl, page Y558 in bentley
I know the car is on its second engine, but its always been a 2.8, so I can't see that making any difference

It just all made sense

I just found the 2.8 ATQ from sept 2001 on wiring diagram and it matches perfectly, page 687 bentley.
Must have been changed when the engine got changed. dealership replacement, t belt snaped at 49000 miles.
