I have a 1997 A4Q that is Red with an Orangish (Bright not Rust) Tint. The Paint Color Code on the trunk sticker is LY3H/LY3H - Laser Red. I bought Laser Red touch up paint (LOY3H01) but it does not match the paint on my car. Also, my sister just bought a 2004 A4Q Convertible - Laser Red - ery Nice Car - but the color of our ("laser red") cars are very different. My car has not been repainted nor is its paint oxidized. Any explanation?

Perhaps your car has faded significantly, which is apparently quite common with laser red cars, and would explain the non-match of the touch up paint.
