zero boost problem diagnosed

Took my car to my audi service shop. They did a vacuum test on the wastegate diafram (is that the freq valve?). They determined the wastegate is stuck in the "open" position. They said I need a new turbo. I'm thinking about going to K04 route. I've read a few of the other posts regarding the K04 and am aware of the trade offs, but does anyone know where is the best place to get one? Neuspeed? Turbo5? Somewhere else?

I had the same problem.

In fact, I think the car never ran well since it was new. The power seriously dropped off after one weekend of tearing around the mountains. I put a Vac/Boost gauge on and found a max of 1.5lbs (0.1bar) boost. Fortunately, the car is still under warrenty. The dealer had to replace both the ECU and the turbo. They said the turbo had a broken wastegate. As for the ECU, I think they saw a strange code and decided its easier to change then diagnose.
