A4 P2296 error code
Hi
I have a 2004 A4 with the 3.2FSI engine. Its only done 90,000km. Goes into 'limp home' mode after about 2km when its cold. Restart cures it. It comes up with the P2296 error code on an analyser. I have had the car to a reputable auto electrician, they replaced the high pressure fuel pump (+ shim) and sensor as well as the low pressure sensor since it was hard to get to later. The fault is still there. They have checked the wiring and say everything is fine, the fault must be in the computer and the next step is to replace that. Any suggestions? (this has already cost me $2400)

Must not be in the U.S., we didn't get the 3.2. Know nothing about that engine, but see link below for the ross-tech recommendation which I don't think is what your mechanic worked.
