A4 Problems

I think we all need to tell each other what problems we've had since buying the car. My first reason for NOT buying my A4 (and only) was the past history of AUDI themselves. So far at 1880 miles I'm havin a pretty good time, but who knows down the road. Anyone got some?

Fuel gauge only reading 3/4 full when tank is full would be one. (more)

Usually due to kinks in the fuel sender hose inside the tank, if I recall.

I'm getting this fixed on Monday.

I have an annoying rattling noise that comes from my sunroof whenever I go over bumps on a cold day. I also have Woofpup's fuel gauge problem. I hope to get both corrected next Thursday.

Sunroof is an easy fix at least, just silicone lubricant at the dealer...

What about coil packs?

But remember that there's no way to know how reliable a car is going to be. You can look at what's happened in the past and try to extrapolate, but that doesn't always work. As they say in the money biz, past performance is no guarantee of future performance.

But hey, you've got four years of worry-free driving and then you can always buy an extended warranty if you're concerned.

used to have rattling roof, but it magically disappeared over 2 months. so silent now.

Musty A/C smell & Low Horn Dead

Also, had windshield washer nozzles adjusted so that they actually spray the windshield!

Otherwise... I love my A4 1.8TQM. Wouldn't trade it for anything in the world!

Okay... maybe a Infiniti G35 LOL... ;-)
