AC compressor install
Hey everyone
Hoping someone is familiar with AC systems to answer a question. Bought a 2004 Audi A4 1.8T with no working AC. Well, being a complete moron, I recharged the system to proper pressure before realizing that the AC compressor was bypassed by the belt and not in operation. Here is the question:
Will hooking up the compressor now to a previously fully charged AC system damage it? Do I need to evacuate, hook up the AC compressor, THEN charge it - or will I be okay hooking it up as is?

How was it recharged?
The refill can gets sucked in to the system by the compressor cycling itself.
The compressor was probably bypassed with a shorter belt because it was not working..just a guess.
First, make sure the ac pulley is not seized.
