broken dip stick
stupid mechanic broke the dip stick and a piece of it just fell inside and rather than tell me what happened he just replaced the dipstick. it was found maybe 100 miles later because my oil pressure light was coming on. i took it to the stealership and they found it. how much damage could a piece of the dipstick inside do to my car?

well, it should be a problem, that is what an oil filter is for. i read another thread somewhere where this happened to some people and they didnt have any problems. you can always change your oil and oil filter if your really concerned.
