Coilpack fixable???

Default Coilpack fixable???

Yesterday I had coilpack failure. Strugglled to the dealer and got one. 10 mins ago same thing seems to be another coild pack failure!!! Can I fix the coild pack or clean them???

They are like light bulbs, when they go, they go. I had 2 go bad in 48 hours and luckily had 2 spare

why not just buy a replacement? they aren't that expensive and DIY takes 5 min

2 gone in 24 hours... I never had a failure before. I had the car 6 months

Default it is very common that if one goes, it puts even more stress on the others, resulting in those

failing soon after as well.

Unfortunately one of the joys of owning this car.

I imagine will see more cp failures now that the weather is transitional (warm>>>cool)

Actually I find that there are a lot more cp failures posted during the warmer months.

I don't know, perhaps. I remember when it first started happening, the Fall of 2002 was like the death camp for cps. I think I lost one of mine in the fall of 2003. For me it appears that the core casing on those things don't like to see quick temperature differentials, hence they come apart. Strange to find that when they do fail it is usually right after the engine has warmed up to operating temp. Most coils seem to fail under drastic a drastic heat range change. Just my 02 cents. cheers
