Default Could this be fixed??

Short of replacing the bumper, could a body shop fix this? Look at the bumper under the driver's side headlight (first pic). See how there's that lip there? I don't know WHAT the deal is with this, I noticed it when I did my clear corners last week. Very strange. You simply can't position the headlight to cover that lip, the curvature is different. If you look at the passenger side headlight (second pic) its perfectly flush, which looks more normal. My car got hit in a parking lot, low speed, over the winter on the PASSENGER side. Could this have caused damage on the DRIVER'S side somehow? This is really wierd. Its not very noticeable, but if anyone has ideas on how it would be repaired I'd appreciate it. Oh also, If you put pressure on the area of the bumper where that lip is with your knee you can morph the bumper and make it flush again, but obviously it springs back out when you let go.

Default oh no mine isn't a verticle gap (more)

but rather a horizontal one, if that makes sense. look in the first picture there on my original post. at the bottom of the headlight, there's a little lip of bumper that extends straight out before going down again. compare with the second pic and you'll see exactly what i mean

Default here's an idea for YOUR problem though...

you may have tried this, but the headlight rests on a sort of large plastic plate in the engine compartment. there are tabs on the bottom that slide into slots (thats what she said, couldn't resist). if they don't go in the slots, it would keep the headlight raised up a bit

Default I got into an accident and have the same problem as well, in my case its a pin inside the bumper

that holds the bumper perfectly inline with the fender that broke... Im guessing thats what it is for you too, though i could be wrong...
