Default Doors Locking by themselves draining battery

Hi All, I have strange one! when I shut my driver's door and walk away, the interior light will go off after about 30 seconds (normal so far) but then all the doors will lock by themselves. After this happens the door lock switch light comes on, it will go off after another 30 seconds, then doors will then lock again (although already locked). It will keep doing this until the battery becomes flat, not good when I go to my car and it's dead as a dodo. Another thing to point out is a few weeks back the alarm kept going off whilst driving, this is why I don't lock the car now. Also both the fobs have stopped working at the same time, so have to unlock car with key to gain access, any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like the central locking or alarm control modules are flaky. Have you plugged in a scan tool to see if there are any errors?

Would just like to add that today I unplugged the connector from the Driver's door to the car to check there were no broken wires, I couldn't find any broken ones, but thought I'd mention it as that might be why the results of vag-com show no communication...

Yep it is still playing up after reconnecting the door connector. After clearing all the codes, there are no codes relating to the issue (just abs steering sensor, and radio amplifier open circuit).

Since you hav ea ton of faults logged against the CCM, try pulling the fuse on the CCM and see if it continues. There are 2 of them and don't know the numbers off the top of my head.

I have to disconnect the battery each night so it is not flat in the morning, this would be the same as taking the fuses out right?

Yes, but I was trying to use the fuses to isolate directly to the CCM.

I went through a draining battery recently and was able to narrow it down to the radio, interestingly enough. I systematically unplugged fuses and then measured the amperage at the battery. I was running about 5 amps until I pulled the fuse on the radio. It dropped to milliamps; can't remember exactly the number. My son is now running around without a radio; hoping to find a gently used one on the internet, but struggling to see if a 8E0 035 195F is compatible with an 8E0 035 195H.

I've pulled the fuse out for the CCM (It was a 30amp fuse is socket 24) The doors now doesn't automatically lock, and the little lock light on the driver's door in no longer coming on. Which is great as I don't have to fiddle around with the battery every time I stop. Take it I need a new CCM then?
