I found this old post but was wondering if anyone has had the same problems lately.

I have the same symptoms:
- When I accelerate, the Temp controls go out and fog lights dim until I let up on the gas.
- My windshield washer pump fuse keeps burning out.

HELP!

Took the car in for its 20K tune-up and CP replacement. Had no problems/ symptoms before taking the car in, but now...

1. Popping noise coming from rear speakers that coincides with the level of Engine RPM.

2. When I mash the accelerator the climate control system shorts out until I let off, then it comes back on again.

3. Last night, I noticed that my fogs also shorted out when I mashed the accelerator.

Do I have a faulty alternator? Is it related to new coil packs? Has anyone else experienced this?

Dealer is closed today. Cant get it in until Tuesday and its 50 miles from my house...Uuuggghhh!!

Had Beru Ultra spark plugs and the Coil packs did not seat just right on them (they would ride up). Swithched back to NGK's and problem went away. Pop your hood and pull the plastic cover off. Push down on each of your coil packs to see if any are riding up. I also had similar symptoms when the dealer failed to torque down the spark plugs all the way. one of the plugs loosened up so much it was ejected from the engine and shot through the plastic cover...bottom line, check that the coil packs are seated properly and check the tightness of the plugs. If you have aftermarket spark plugs, you may need to dump them.

I reset the beru plug and the coil pack the dimming issue went away. If it happens again, I am going to trash the Beru's and get a new set of NGK's.
