fuel guage problems
My fuel indicator, especially on long trips, seems to get stuck on 3/4 tank full, even though I know it is has less fuel in the tank. This especially happens on longer trips, after I fill up, it goes to 3/4 tank full, and just stops there even after driving for 3-4 hours straight. After restarting the car at a rest stop for example, the gauge drops down instantly to show the true amount of fuel remaining. It seems to be linked to the computer DTE as well, as it shows 420 miles DTE for example for miles and miles on end, again, only until I stop and start the motor again. Any ideas? Thanks!

Here is a link where psuaudi suggests adding some fuel system cleaner. It worked for him and as he says "it was something extremely cheap to try."

Failing this, it may be your electrical sending units in the gas tank that are faulty.
