I’m looking to upgrade to a single din JOYING 7” Android 10.0 head unit, but will have to get a car audio expert to install it. I was told by the unit seller that I will likely need a special adapter, but I’m not sure what configuration my vehicle has. I don’t know if it’s BOSE amplified systems, non-amplified, half-amplified, digital amplifier etc.
And if it uses an ISO or Quad-lock or RCA Audio Out connectors.
The vehicle is an Audi A4 2002 B6 2.4L V6. The OEM factory stereo is Audi Chorus II.
My questions are:
- Would the factory stereo have RCA Pre-Out connections?
- What special adapter will I likely require?
- Since I have steering wheel controls, what patch lead would I need?
I appreciate any answers because I don’t know where to go from here.

Stock stereos generally don't have pre-amp outlets (RCA)
Go to Crutchfield they have all the necessary kits needed to retain steering wheel buttons, wiring adapter, for new head unit.
Do you plan on wiring it yourself?

Lastly check the door speaker grill and see if it says (Bose) on it.
