After a few weeks of looking for a quality kit that would be fully compatible with my car (no dipped headlight errors), I contacted Eric at SPP and he came through. I was looking for Hella ballasts and either Phillips or GE Bulbs. He was able to hook me up with a Hella ballast kit with H7 rebased Phillips bulbs. This kit only comes in 6000K I believe, I originally wanted a 4300k but I'm very pleased with the light output from this one. Installation was pretty straight forward, just find a good spot to harness the ballasts and connect all wiring. The kit didn't come with instructions so wiring of the stock wiring to the ballasts was pretty much trial and error, but there's no danger of damaging the ballasts if you get it wrong the first time, because it happened to me and everything was fine after I switched the wires.
I used the double sided 3M tape along with some tie straps to attach the ballasts. I wasn't about to start drilling any screw holes under the hood and besides, the latter holds very firmly. You can pretty much get creative as to where to mount them. It's only a bit tight on the intercooler side.

Looks bright. How did you get the wires into the headlight housing?

 

just hope your bulbs don't break.

 

eeeek, you could have gotten 5000k for like 250 if you live in jersey...

 

with low quality products, like those on ebay. STAY AWAY from ballasts and bulbs that are anything but Hella/Phillips/Osram. I had an Accumen kit before with some no-name Korean bulbs and I went through 2 pairs of bulbs and 3 ballasts before I just returned everything to the seller. Bottom line.....you get what you pay for.
Besides, Eric at SPP is negotiable.

 

I made a hole (5/6) on each low beam housing cap. The kit comes with rubber grommets.
