iPod install question....
I can't get any sound out of the iPod and it won't go to "TRACK 99" on the radio.
Any ideas? I know it's the right adaptor from autotoys cause it says it's specifically for 2002 Audi A4's, unlike the other one they make for the 2003's.
either the wiring scheme is messed up on the adapter or they sent you the wrong one. the 2002 needs the same adapter as the 2003. i remember ben ordered his blitzsafe adapter soon after they developed them for the new symphony units and them blitzsafe called him and told him they got 2 wires mixed up in the wiring scheme and to send it back... maybe thats what you are experiencing.
Says its for 2002-2003.. and i know Ben used it for his '02 and i used the same adapter for my '03... i know this is for XM... but the only difference is my outputs to IP-BUs and yours outputs to RCA.

When I got to the shop a hour later they come up to me with faces I'd rather not see when it comes to my car. "It's not working, we've tried everything, come on into the install bay and check it out."
I walked back to where my car is and the installer is fussing with the radio. "Everything in, just no sound" He says to me.
The one guy says, "see look, everything works, we thought it was the antenna at first, but we even backed the car out of the garage to make sure we had a signal from the satellite. The display is even showing the XM radio preview channel but there is no sound. See, we hit the cd button twice and it goes to this (shows CD something LOAD) have you ever seen that before?" Me- "no, no I haven't"

it definitely says "type 3" adapter right???
did you specify you have a 2002 when you ordered??
mine said it worked on 2002's as well, but it was WRONG.
you also NEED TO HAVE IT GROUNDED WELL. did you ground to the little screws on the back of the radio?
e-mail me if you're still having problems after you check ground, i have lots of good e-mails from autotoys regarding this issue
