Let the problems begin...
Hey guys. So, Friday night, after chaperoning a dance at my school, started up the car. It was -14 out, and I drive for less than a minute when the check engine fairy hits! Not blinking, so I feel ok, but still freaking out. Make the 37 mile drive home, no probs, but this morning, turned it back on-still there. Went to drive to work and the engine felt really sluggish and seemed to want to cut out as I hit slight bumps in my driveway at creeping speeds. Anyway, managed the drive to the shop, we'll see what he says. If anyone has a similar experience, I figured I'd post and update to help others down the road. 62,XXX miles-apparently it's time for problems

Just talked with tech...
Upon startup, secondary cooling fan kicked in (I did notice this), so they think it's something to do with one of the temp switches. They haven't scanned yet, but let's hope it's nothing too major (or should I say expensive!)
He said my poor engine response is because the coolant temp drives engine response a faulty switch would have affected the throttle. Sounds good to me.

Yeah, that is a reasonable diagnosis, if the temp sensor was indicating the
engine was fully warned up, but was actually still fairly cold, the fuel mixture would be too lean for the actual engine temp, causing the poor drivability you described.
