Offset problem?
I posted a thread about my brother's cars two days ago here are the pics:

Well, that's a BIG part of the problem (m)
The OEM tires are 24.0" in diameter.
The new tires are 26.2" in diameter.
That's a pretty significant difference. According to the Miata tire size calculator, his speedo will read 60mph when he's actually travelling at 65.6mph.
Guys here will put 19s on but they'll keep the overall tire diameter pretty close to stock. If your brother wanted tires/wheels close to stock diameter, 225/30/19s would work.
It's hard to tell by the photo, but the offset doesn't look bad. Am I right that it looks pretty flush w/ the fender? You don't want spacer to push the wheels past it (think ricer Civics--no offense to Civics).

the best he can do with 20's is 225/30/20 (do they even make those?) but that's still 1.3" too much for the entire diameter and you'll still be 5.6% too slow.
He should have stuck with 19's and got 225/30/19, assuming them make them (still 1.4% too slow).
