Default Okay quick question...

what is your guys' opinion on these neuspeed springs for either the sport or racings sets

I want to lower my car with these springs however I can't afford a coilover kit or anything like that. I'm hoping my gift cards will cover almost all the costs (minus like $20-$30) but I can't pay anymore than that.

<a href="http://www.supremepowerparts.com/applications/2002-2005_Audi_A4_FWD_1.8T.aspx/9/769/Neuspeed_Race_Springs_">Race Springs</a>

<a href="http://www.supremepowerparts.com/applications/2002-2005_Audi_A4_FWD_1.8T.aspx/9/759/Neuspeed_Sport_Springs_Sedan">Sport Springs</a>

The neuspeed sport springs will lower my car roughly .75 (inches I guess)F&amp;R cuz I've got the factory sport suspension. Will this be that noticable or not?

Anyone have any pics of what that kinda drop would look like before and after?

and finally is that kinda hard to install or could i do it myself with some help from a couple friends?.....cuz installation costs would probably push me over the edge.

Thanks guys!

oh and just to make it worth your while here is a cool vid that my friend and i got. wait till about half way through and there are some cool rolling shots of my audi

Default personally I don't like Neuspeed's springs for our car, sport or race

neither matches up particularly well with any of the aftermarket shocks available. I'd recommend either the H&amp;R sport or the Eibach pro-kit springs

Default My friend had the race springs on his B6, and it was really really low

I would get the sports or wait until you can afford what you really want. On my friends car, the race springs put the wheel into the wheel well; like it was really freaking low. I remember a while ago I think you said you were out in Newport Beach, so if the roads out there are nice and smooth you can get away with it, but here on the East Coast you just can't run the car that low. Look around: Eibach has a good kit, Koni has a good kit. Theres several other companies that are worth looking into. At the very least, find someone local to you who has those springs installed in their car and go for a ride to see if you like it.

In terms of doing the install yourself, all you need is a set of spring compressors and some jack stands and you can probably do it yourself. You will need an alignment afterwards however. Search the tech articles there are several that show you what is involved.

Default Cool, thanks for the help guys! I'll probably go with the sport springs but....

I just got a $1000 insurance bill....right as i'm about to have some spare cash too...I hate bills

when i get my money saved up again i'll probably go for the sport springs since the roads are really smooth out here in NB (good memory quattrothatcould! :-0)

that's about it
