One Small Problem

My A4 had 6 miles on it at delivery; I've now had it for a few days. Just a great car, but I have noticed that the steering wheel seems a tad out of alignment; the car will veer left if I center the steering wheel. It's a slight off-center position that truthfully dosen't bug me all that much, just wonder if anyone else has experienced this? Damn good car otherwise. Seems to attract a bit of unwanted attention from 24 year old Tiburon and Civic SI drivers with major personality disorders.

If you have sport package it's the 17" wheels. They are wide, flat and square, so they follow the..

follow the contour of the pavement. I thought my alignment was out the first time I drove my car too. All roads typically slope in a particular direction. If you let go of the wheel the car will follow the slope of the pavement. You'll get used to it. Look out for wear ruts on pavement because they'll cause your tires to fly all over.

laroo is right, but I think I know what you mean - my steering wheel was actually off center (more)

for a while, but somehow recentered itself after a week of driving when I got the car. Strange, eh? Normally the dealers have to take the wheel off and recenter it to correct that problem (when it's not a wheel alignment problem or damage, obviously).

It is fun keeping the wheels straight on slanted roads, though

When I picked up my car, it was pulling left (more)

I took it to the dealer last Wednsday, had them to do an alignment....got the car back and noticed on Friday that the car is still pulling to the left. Tire pressure is the same all the way around...now what. I guess I will bring it back again.

It's nothing to do with the wheels, but wide, unidrectional or asymmetrical tires will "pull" a lot

Check the pressure in the tires to make sure they are even.

Same problem, the steering wheel is a little off center to the right. My dealer he would prefer...

not to make any adjustments for a couple thousand miles, to allow the suspension to "settle". Could this be legit? (sounds lame to me) Got around 1200 miles now, and no difference yet.
