Its just a cover...its somehow country-specific if you have one or not.

is yours a 1.8t or the 2.0?

As EuroDan said, it's a cover. I have looked at it myself: It won't fit ...

1.8T because there are different things under that area in the two engines. For one fact, there are some tubing and components that stand taller the height of that cover. Simply forget it.
