I did mine last weekend (rotate) and I had no problems......
try adding a litle anti-seize to the hub when you put them back on. It is just light rust for the heat of the brakes and the moisture.

and how do i tell if i have "one way" tires on my car?

Directional tires will have an arrow on the sidewall indicating direction..........
and if it is Quattro, with directional tires, only front to back.....if it is Quattro/Non-Quattro, and not directional tires, then the conventional rotation is okay.
