Radar Detector --- Wireless??? Hidden???
My A4 UltraSport is on the ship right now.
Anyone have any radar detector suggestions???
I don't want the wire hanging down.
Anyone using a wireless radar detector or
have a descretely mounted setup???
Also, any suggestions on tint %???

V1 or 8500 - any radar can be hardwired in (or escort makes a wireless)
Search around AW - many pics exist.
I have mine on the driver's visor - others suction to the window (either by the dash or the rear view mirror). Run the cord down the A-pilar and into the fuse box.

When is this company just going to die? All reviews I have ever seen for any product they make....

V1 falses too much! They need a new model! (more)
with the 8500 you can turn off the X band if they don't use it in your state anymore. This cuts back significantly on falses.
They also have Auto mute and MANY MANY other options that the V1 just doesn't have.
The arrows are nice but I am going to wait until a NEW V1 comes out.
It's 8500 for me until then!

My Valentine One is hardwared through the light over the passenger's visor. I know there are negatives to this location but I like it since:
1) I haven't had a lot of success with the suction cups.
2) I wanted to be able to remove the detector from its location easily.
3) The passenger side visor in my vehicle is rarely used.
Do a search to find past posts which have pics showing where others have hardwire the remote display.
