RNS-E lost the security Code
Hello,
I have a RNS-E DVD NavigationPlus system in my 2003 A4 and lost the securitycode,i went to the dealer and he can't get my code back,the navigation is not standard in my car,i have buyed on the internet,he worked for 3 months,when i turned off the power of my car and reconnect the batterie he asked for a code,and i have lost it,
Can anyone help me with getting another code or something?

Didn't you need the code when you first connected it to your car?
You should have needed the code when you first installed it (it was obviously unplugged when you received it in the mail), and would have needed it for the initial installation. My only other suggestion would be to contact the individual who sold you the system...

You don't need the code when you first connect it...
Assuming it's never been connected in a car before. If its being used for the first time, it will accept your car and supposedly "remember" it...
So when you try to put it in another car it will know and prompt for the code.
When I installed mine (it was brand new) it didn't ask for anything... worked right off the bat. But now you've got me paranoid, so I'm gonna go see if I can find my security code!

How long did you leave the battery unconnected for?
That sounds kind of bothersome. I would definitely check w/who you ordered it from. They can probably verify that you bought it..and contact Audi w/the serial number for the code.
