so...

this is probably a stupid question, but since i've never considered doing anything with my suspension, hopefully not too stupid. is there anyway to get the looks of a lowered car without sacrificing the ride of a non-sport stock set-up? TIA...i've got a B6 A4 1.8T, btw

how about going with a either an '02 or '03 factory sport suspension??

it's a good compromise of looks, performance, and excellent ride quality, imo.

You could try some sport springs, alot of people like H&R's.

Couple that with a luxury/sport shock. I think that AGX is good for that, but somebody could correct me. I am a B5 guy, so I don't know too much about your cars. You definitely would not like my setup though, so don't read the mod list in my sig.

You'll likely find a used set of springs and shocks on AW classifieds. Remember to get the rear OE sport suspension bump stops (your local Audi dealer).

thanks for the advice...my only concern is that the roads in the area surrounding me are pretty...

crappy. am i going to have any problems? i was under the impression that a sport suspension might not be a great idea if the roads you commonly travel aren't great. additionally, any ideas on how much this might run from start to finish (labor, parts, etc.?). TIA

i loved the sport suspension in my '03...

i thought it rode very nicely. like i said before, slightly aggressive when needed, but otherwise smooth as butter. i never felt it was too harsh, even on really bad roads.

i just removed mine with under 20k miles on it, and may be selling. let me know if you are interested.
