something weird....

brand new to the board, and just picked up my new silver 1.8TQ last Tuesday. When i started the car today, my computer said that my front right signal was out, then within minutes it said my right rear parking light was out....Sure enough, when driving later this evening, the message did not appear....computer glitch? anybody else experience this??? Thanks

I don't think I've seen any electrical complaints yet...

I know the problem you describe is run-of-the-mill for BMW owners.

I had similar problem and dealer replaced drivers side front parking socket.

you betcha!

My 3.0 QST has had the turn signals go out often. I think this is a common problem because the dealer ordered the part 4-5 weeks ago and still not in. I am guessing that this is happening alot so they are out of parts. The fix for mine is simple. I pound on the fender near the light that is out and just like Fonzy at the jukebox it is back on. I hope they fix it soon, the people at the stop lights look at me funny when I am hitting my new car!

It's not fun when your car doesn't say 'OK'

Same problem, has happened about 5 times to far ... they replaced the rear light assembly without too much luck. Oh well, I figure by the time the 10k service happens .. enough people will have gone in for this that the dealerships might have a clue.

I had exact same problem. Dealer changed front lamp socket and rear assembly.

Seemed like if it did it in the morning, it would do it the rest of the day. Then it would be fine for a few days and then act up again. It's been working fine now for almost a month since being serviced.

I had the exact problem. First my left turn signal, then my right. Both were intermittent, and didn't want to replicate for the dealer. Next time it happened I drove over to the dealer w/o turning off the car. They replaced just the bulbs and it appears to be cured. Left side has now worked for three months, right side was just replaced two days ago.
