test pipe fail... ok with one o2?
I got an ebay special test pipe, which is actually very nicely made, with good materials and high quality tig welding... Problem is, the first o2 bung is in the wrong spot which won't allow the o2 sensor to go in (hits manifold) - Interestingly the ATP pipe I got for my other A4 had the same issue. My presumption is that I need to keep the first O2 sensor, but I can just mount it in the back spot since the 2nd o2 is going to give a failed reading anyway without the cat? If it doesn't matter functionally, I don't want to go through the whole remove/re-ship/wait and replace thing.

I would guess issues would come up. The ECM will get incorrect readings from the O2 and make adjustments. Your MPG may drop and you might see slightly less boost.
I found that you need to keep the O2 sensors happy to keep the car happy.
