Default Tiptronic ATF P/N - G 052 990 A2 or G 052 162 A2?

I've searched on here, AZ, and VWvortex, and even googled the appropriate ATF P/N for my tiptronic. Unfortunately, I'm getting conflicting info. Some say G 052 162 A2 is the right one, but some say G 052 990 A2 is equivalent to G 052 162 A2 and is used for newer tiptronic transmission. Which one should I use?

I would greatly appreciate your input. TIA.

Default Thanks. World Impex sells Pentosin ATF that is equivalent to OEM G 052 162 A2...

All online stores carry this Pentosin, except German Auto Parts which carries both the Pentosin and OEM G 052 990 A2.

They all claim that B6 A4 tip uses G 052 162 A2 spec fluid, but someone on VWvortex pointed out that G 052 162 A2 is designed for old 4-speed tip whereas G 052 990 A2 is for 5-speed.

Default Irrespective of the OE part number, the specified ATF is "ESSO LT 71141" or equivalent.

Pentosin ATF-1 is a fully synthetic ZF approved equivalent to ESSO LT 71141 fluid, and is listed in the approved fluids documentation from ZF.

Default Thank you so much for the info. I just had it done using the OE ATF...

The technician told me that he could only renew 6 liters of ATF this time because in order to do 9 he would have to unload the TC which has the remaining 3 liters of old ATF.

Should I shorten the service interval for ATF flush because there is still one third of old fluid in my transmission?

Default Yes, that is what I recommend. I have done the drain/filter/refill every ~20K miles ...

using Pentosin ATF-1, and is due about now for the third service. After the second drain/refill, there is practically no original fluid remaining mixed with the newer ATF.
During second service, there was a lot less metal particals stuck to the pan magnets, compared to the first service.
