Trip computer

I just parked an a4 that was delivered last week to the dealer and noticed the little trip computer/ mpg was now color. It was like the one in the a8..very cool.

Did it have the Navigation system? If so that is why it is colored.

for a moment, thought i wrote that...this exact q and a are just down page!

had me all confused there...yeah, navigation system.

It had NO navigation. I parked and washed countless numbers of a4s and this was the first time i seen it on so i checked and asked the techs why it had color and they told me that the car was built 6-02 and its the new and last batch of the 2002s. The 2003 a4 should have the new color display too.

The words and numbers are bolder and its white with some red. The OK light is green and the picture of the car when the door is open is a white car instead of the red lines that resemble the car. The colors are very sharp and crisp. The a4 with navigation have the same screen. I liked the original red one alot but with the colors its even better! The functions are the same..temp/mpg/radio...
