window initalization?

window initalization?

newbie question... did a little research and couldn't find answers- sorry if I missed it

Replaced front pass window regulator on my 04 A4.... works great except that the "anti-trap" activates when window reaches the top....

I'm a mechanic for.....Gulp..... a different car brand (which shall remain nameless) and after window regulator replacement usually you have to "initalize" the window to teach it where the top is for the "anti-trap" or pinch protection.

Is there a similar procedure for my Audi or is something else wrong?

When I've replaced regulators on mine I've reset them by holding the switch down to the second stop 'til the window is down, then doing the same on the way up (second stop).
