Wiper blade replacement program changed!!!
Well it has been a bad day. First I got a rock chip on my windshield and it is not covered by the insurance company. Then I went to the Audi dealership to get new wiper blades and was told that the policy has changed. Audi of Canada will now only provide a one-time change of wiper blades for the first 6 months or 10,000 kms. under warranty. And only a one-time change of wiper blades for the first 12 months or 20,000 kms. under Audi Advantage. This is a change for the 2005 model year. I know it seems minor, but that was one of the pitches for Audi, "everything is covered, even the wiper blades!" No wonder I don't hear that in the ads for the 2005s!!! I'm pissed!! Living in Vancouver, new wiper blades are a significant value. Now I'll have to find out how much these things are. Maybe I should find some willing 2004 owner to get blades for me ... 
Ps. The coverage for brakes is now only once in 24 months or 40,000 km. Can't remember if it is a one-time only or once every 24 months. Coverage for the clutch is a one-time deal as well, not that it matters to my A4 tip.

Yep...almost the same in the U.S. (more)
Wiper Blades are one replacement only within 1 year / 12k miles.
Clutch Replacement - only one replacement within 2 years / 24k miles.
Brake Pads - only one replacement within the 4 years / 50k period.
all these changes specific for MY2005 only

I'm annoyed because their web page says the following:
"Our 2005 owner protection program include the following:
- 4 years or 80,000 kilometres, whichever comes first, no-charge scheduled maintenance. Oil changes, a tune-up, even wiper blades are included.
..."
To me, this smells of misleading advertising.

Sales are down. I read they were down like 15% across the board for Audi. I think they have been eating it on warranty work as well. BMW will is doing the same thing Audi was doing 6 years ago when I bought my 1999 A4. Back then everything was free: oil changes every 3k miles, brakes, rotors, windeshield wipers. . .everything. Now it's not because it costs Audi too much.
