Xenon compatibility

Xenon compatibility
I am wondering if high intensity bulbs such as the Sylvania silverstars are compatible with my set up. I have an '04 A4 with what i believe to be the xenon kit from the factory. The car has the 'magnifiers' on the low beam-this is what the Xenon option would look like..? The picture below shows the front of my car and the 'magnifier lens' im referring to. It says to make sure in the manual you have the xenon kit before putting in high intensity bulbs. Any help or recommendations for better bulbs than the Sylvania's? Thanks

The 'magnifier lens' you refer to is what we called Projector. It does not mean you have xenon (HID), it can be halogen also. Open the cap behind your headlight and tell us what you see there, if you see a square aluminum look then you have HID.

Can you describe in more detail what your referring to? Theres a lot of things in the way when you try in get into the light housing! From the little that I could see when I opened up the housing behind the projector portion, there were some wires, I guess going to the bulb. Did I just not look far enough in or should there have been something else? Thanks for the help!!

Can you describe in more detail what your referring to? Theres a lot of things in the way when you try in get into the light housing! From the little that I could see when I opened up the housing behind the projector portion, there were some wires, I guess going to the bulb. Did I just not look far enough in or should there have been something else? Thanks for the help!!
