{PRNDS} light up at Dash board

{PRNDS} light up at Dash board
The PRNDS indication light up again at the Dash board in the morning. And the car is not able to crank or engine start.
Did a scan and the ATF Temperature is 27deg C.
It happened before, and replaced the car's battery a month back. Car was fine until this morning.
Car's KMage is 64k Km.
Is that limp mode? What causes it to light up and not start the engine? Has the ATF loses its viscosity, i.e. needs replacement = temp 27deg C? Permissive for ECU to start the car?
