Comfort control module replacement
I've been having issues with my 2008 Audi A4. The power windows stopped working and the sunroof won't open. I ended up taking it the dealer and they diagnosed it. All fuses and wiring were checked. They then said the comfort control module wasn't returning voltage and needs replaced.
I managed to access it by pulling up the carpet and unplug and re-plug in the wires in a last attempt but that didn't work.
I would like to buy a working one online and install it myself, but if I do buy a new one I've heard certain things need reprogrammed. Can anyone offer me more information on this? And will anything else change?
Each control module needs to be configured/programmed for the specific options that have been fitted to the vehicle. Link above describes the options associated with the Comfort Control Module.
I'm just trying to figure out if its simple enough to be done myself, then maybe having a garage re-program it.
