CVT low rpm squeeling noise
2008 2.0t CVT
Have noticed at low rpm like at a crawl in traffic or at a stop light there is a squeeling/whinning and minor rattle type noise coming from the transmission it sounds like. When I put it into neutral the noise does not continue. Once I go over 2000-2500 rpm you do not hear the noise anymore.
Brought it to the dealership and they seemed to have focused on a different clunking problem I brought up, came to the conclusion since its been in an accident that part wont be covered under warranty and wont continue unless I pay 400$ to take the problem which is most likely the upper or lower control arm off.
I dont see how they could possible not see that a noise does not come form the suspension when the car is not moving. going in today to pick it up so I will find out more but anyone know of a low rpm noise from the CVT?
