ECU pre-programmed to VIN

ECU pre-programmed to VIN
Has anyone successfully been able to purchase an ecu that was preprogrammed for your car’s VIN without going through the Audi dealership? If so, can you point me in the direction of a vendor that is able to do this? I’m currently looking into a company website audiecu.com - if anyone has any feedback about working with them, please share.
A little background - I purchased a 2008 A4 2.0T cabriolet w/ 75k miles 3 weeks ago from a independently owned delear. It’s had a few different electrical issues in the 3 weeks ive owned it (convertible top issues, piston misfire, dash lcd fading in and out). The ecu dashlight and check engine light came on so I took it in to have codes pulled. There are several intermittent codes - all things the ecu controls. When the mechanic took a closer look at the ecu, he noticed one of the screws that secures the ecu housing is missing. We aren’t sure how long it’s been like this, and moisture may have gotten into the ecu and messed up the relay switch or worse. They are currentky doing a diagnostics in the ecu.
While the disgnostics ongoing, in planning for worst case scenario. Thanks for any referrals!
