Default Engine vibrating under high load

Anyone know what would cause the car to vibrate and shake in high-gear, high-load situations?? I had the apr high pressure fuel pump and stg2+ done last week and ever since the pump and flash went in i've been experiencing this problem. If i'm in 4th, 5th, or 6th and accelerate from 2000rpm WOT, the front end will start vibrating until about 3000rpm and then goes away as rpm continues to rise. I put the car back into stock mode and the problem seemed to disappear. It seems to only happen in the Stg2+ file. Can anyone help??

It could be your cam follower. When they get worn out you usually will experience fueling issues on WOT. I bet it is applified on your II+ car.

We carry replacements as this is a common issue, they are available here, click click. You can take your current one out and inspect it for wear now. If it isn't smooth like the picture below, then you really really should replace it before it shatters and leaves you stranded!

EDIT: Just saw you have another thread for the same problem where you mention that you have a new follower.

So, what does your boost read at WOT? Are you having any leak?

I am embarassed to say i do not have a boost gauge. However, my car is at AUDI today and I had asked to them to inspect the lobes on the intake cam shaft. They did and said "no wear." However, they found codes for a bad tumble flap motor. They replaced it but I have yet to pick up the car. Is that the possible culprit?? I also heard it could be a bad fuel filter??

*I guess having all these mods I really should get a boost gauge!

Yeah you should! Can't believe you went so far without one!!

Yeah the flap is a known culprit. Usually if it isn't the cam follower or worn lobe it is the flap.

We carry a very nice, what I think is really sharp, vent pod boost gauge Click here for details. A boost gauge can be single most beneficial diagnostic tool for a turbo charged car!

I got the car back and the problem is not fixed. So, cam lobe wear was inspected and determined to be fine. Tumble flap motor was replaced. What the heck can be causing this problem? It's wierd, it happens between 2500rpm and 3000rpm in high gear WOT. The car shudders (vibrates/shakes) for a second then goes right away as rpm's rise. It's most noticeable in
5th and 6th gear. Even though it sounds wierd, I heard a bad fuel filter can cause this?? Any help would be greatly appreciated. The problem started right after I had my APR HPFP and reflash done; but it doesn't feel like i'm having any loss of power during the shuddering. I don't know.....

Fuel filter is possible, but how many miles have you gone? Seems like an '06 shouldn't need a filter yet. Have you gapped your plugs for you Stage II+ yet?

Your gap is .028 for a stock B7. But I'm not certain for a II+ setup. However, read this thread and you will understand why you need to check your gap on new plugs. Read all of it, especially since your car is as built as it is: http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...te-for-B7-A4-s

Also, many people will run one heat range colder plugs when their car is as built as yours is. We carry those plugs mentioned in many threads: Click here for colder plugs.
