Default iPod

Just talked to the parts dept after dropping my car off for 5000 maintentance. They stated that the iPod adapter may arrive in late January!

Much better then the May/June estimate they last told me.

and YES I know I can supposedly install an Icelink (haven't seen the instructions yet) but I would rather have the dealership take apart things that the 20 year old punks at Best Buy.

Default um...

radio removal tools are 4 keys that are about 6 bucks... and its as easy as can be.

There is no reason to have Best Buy do it... it is a 2 minute DIY

Default I don't mess with that sort of thing.....

plus I would rather have the OEM version

and we still haven't seen the instructions to use the Icelink w/o losing XM...that may involve more than just the normal icelink install

Default Dealer took my stereo out

Or attempted.

What happened? He nicked the top button near where one of the keys are inserted.

I just rolled my eyes and he said sorry, and at that point I said forget it, I'll do it myself.

Much easier when I did it.

Default But if the dealer screws....

something up, it "should" be easier to have them fix the mistake. Rather trying to get my own mistake or best buys mistake fixed

Default Process is unbelievable simple

Anyways, if the dealer says it's coming in January, great. I'm really curious to see what the price is and what it has to offer in terms of functionality.

Plus I took my sweet-*** time to install it thinking where to route the cable and such.
