problem with central locking after using VCDS
I have a 2005 audi a4 avant and wanted to have the windows open and close via remote, all worked fine BUT if I press the remote the doors won’t lock until I press the lock/unlock button on the drivers door whilst the ignition is in stage 2 any ideas so I can fix it, only the car keeps losing battery power unless I do this

I don't have the problem after pressing the switch all works as it should but if you forget to press the interior switch the fob won't work and you can't lock the doors and the alarm won't arm

Haven't heard that symptom before - I suggest you disable everything to do with window open/close with the remote and enable remote lock /unlock of just the driver's door. Confirm that works and that a 2nd click unlocks the other doors; check that the remote unlock button works for opening the boot; then reenable the remote window open/close. Hopefully that will help you identify which part of the car locking process is not working correctly.
